Summary
In the 1600s in the harsh winter of Hokkaido, Japan. The boy who lives in an Ainu village is in the middle of a ritual called iyomante. The boy aims his bow and arrow at the target of the ceremony. A memory from several years ago comes back to his mind. This film draws a parallel between the Ainu people’s belief in God and the thoughts of the main character as a young boy. This film doesn’t mean denying their culture, it was created with a feeling of cross-cultural understanding.

Summary
I had been thinking about creating a graduation work on photorealistic characters since I entered CG school. But it was not easy because I had to use tools I had never used until now and I supposed it would take a lot of time to create a model. So I decided to create this film as a parody which is my favorite movie in order to reduce the cost of storyboarding and animation. I also used unreal Engine4 for rendering in order to get more creating time because we didn’t have many rendering environments in school. The story became surreal, but we completed it in the hope that people would enjoy the discomfort and laugh a little.

Concept
This is my first film which I created three months after I started to study CG. I decided to use characters as skeletons in order to use simulation in my film. I like to create a sense of incongruity and surrealism, so I composed this story around these elements.
